A bettor has won more than half a million dollars by making a crazy bet in Sunday’s NFL Championship.

The lucky winner turned his $20 site credit on FanDuel into $579,000 by correctly guessing the winners and correct score of the two conference championship games.

The Bengals rallied to beat the Chiefs, 27-24, on the road in overtime thanks to a 31-yard field goal from kicker Evan McPherson in the AFC Championship Game to reach their first Super Bowl since the 1988 season. In the last drink, the Rams came back to lead the visiting 49ers, 20-17, in the NFC Championship Game thanks to Matt Gay’s 30-yard field goal with 1:46 remaining.

According to Darren Rovell of The Action Network, two other bettors also profited from the bet which comes with odds of 29,000 to 1. A $5 bettor became $145,000 richer and a $2 wager gave the lucky winner of $58,000.

“It’s truly amazing to see a customer pick the exact score of both conference championship games and turn $20 into nearly $580,000,” FanDual spokesman Kevin Hennessy told The Action Network. “We also saw two other customers do the same with payments totaling $200,000. We have very satisfied customers tonight.

The Bengals and Rams will meet in Super Bowl 2022 on February 13 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The Rams opened as four-point favorites.
